Luzdoc has developed a wide range of 24-hour, 365 day, on-site clinical services available to all our clients, which include:
• Multinational staff to provide a professional, friendly atmosphere as we realize that to be able to explain your health needs in your own language is of the utmost importance.
• General Medical Consultations:
 Appointments: General medicine consultations at Luzdoc are held in the morning from 09:30 to 14:00 (these times are flexible depending on the caseload) everyday of the week except for Sunday and bank holidays. Appointments can be booked beforehand or on the day.
• 24-hour emergency service (doctor and nurse) including Domicile visits
 Emergency: This is a service that covers the times of day and night when there are no booked general medicine consultations. A doctor is always available at Luzdoc during weekday afternoons, bank holidays, Saturdays, Sundays and on call every night.
 Domiciles: There is a 24 hour service, everyday of the year, where a general practitioner is available to visit and, if possible, treat a client in their home when required.
• Specialist consultations (emergency & routine); Dermatology / Gynecology / Obstetrics / Plastic Surgery / General Surgery / Ear, Nose and Throat / Orthopedics / Pediatrics / Psychiatry
• Travel Medicine consultations (with Dr Joanna Karamon who holds a Diploma in Travel Medicine)
• Health Technicians: Psychology / Nutrition / Physiotherapy.
• Health Related Services: Chiropody / Counseling / Acupuncture / Sports massage /Chiropractor.
• Preventative medicine: Health Checkups / Vaccinations
• Occupation Health.
• On-site Laboratory Services with rapid results leading to quicker diagnosis and treatment / Ultrasound / Doppler / ECG
• Day care treatment facility for clients who require observation and treatment but do not necessarily need hospital admission.
• Transport service with or without nurse/doctor escort.
• Rental of a large variety of medical equipment, for example; Oxygen at domicile, wheelchairs, raised toilet seats, electric scooter, commodes and much more.
To complement this, Luzdoc has direct access to inpatient facilities through the Hospital Particular do Algarve Group, as Dr Maria Alice is also a member of the Group’s Clinical Direction.

This diverse selection of services is accompanied by complementary activities and workshops in order to raise awareness and help in health.
The Health Secret complements your lifestyle theme with activities outside the clinic, such as walking and cycling, pilates on the beach and organic gardening classes for children.

The Family Medical Centre with its original Clinic in Quinta do Lago has been offering its services in the Algarve for more than 20 years. It was founded by Dr. Robin Thomson. Since the year 2000 Dr. Thomson and Dr. Thomas Kaiser have jointly co-orodinated a unique team of health professionals.
The success of the practice is due to the team working together closely and keeping in continuous communication. We feel lucky enough to be able to offer an old fashioned caring service with the most modern equipment. This has ensured a real integrated healthcare service.
In the year of 2005 Dr. Thomas Kaiser has taken over the clinic in Vale do Lobo. With this new location it was now possible to offer more services to the patients for their well-being. It enables the team to take more specialised Doctors "on board", which reflects the steady grow of new patients. Quinta do Lago continuous to provide its broad spectrum of care.
